Record lantern walk turnout

image imageA record number of youngsters and their parents turned out for Shropshire Wildlife Trust’s annual lantern walk over Whitcliffe on Saturday, October 28.
The youngsters had made their lanterns at an earlier workshop at The Assembly Rooms and as dusk fell on Saturday they had the chance to try them out.
Escorted by volunteers from the Friends of Whitcliffe who laid on hot drinks and toasted marshmallows, as well as fireworks, the youngsters walked up the donkey steps from Dinham and back along the Breadwalk.
