Restoration work on two paths on Ludlow’s Whitcliffe Common is set to start on June 12.
Friends of Whitcliffe Common are spending over £6000 to restore the paths and make them safe to the public, including the disabled, to be able to enjoy the common.
Chairman Daphne Jones said, “This is the best time of the year for the work to be done. Disruption will be kept to a minimum but we would ask the public to respect the need for safety in the designated work areas.”
The first of the work will be done on the paths leading to the larches area and then contractor Colin Richards and his team will move on to the path at the bottom of the Donkey Steps where water has caused serious erosion.
Mrs Jones said, “This work will ensure these paths are safe to use for many years to come.”
